PARENTHOOD ( the edited edition )

Sheirly gave up a lot of things just to raise her 3 kids to the best of her ability. Due to too much pressure of being a single parent, she became an authoritarian, and insensitive to their feelings and personal dreams. She thought she has all the right to dictate to them what she wants regardless of how they feel, for after all she was the mother and she expected them to just follow her rules and, no questions ask.
In a way I sympathize w/ Sheirly, because me too happens to be a single parent. It's no easy to be in our shoe.I experienced the pleasure and pains of being a single mom.The pressure of  responsibilities and   accountability were all  attributed to me for being one.But despite  all these I still feel blessed for God has given me someone to hold on to,He gave me a wing beneath my wings, my sister.Always ready to give us an unconditional and never ending support and love. Thus making me less stress compared to Sheirly.
What I want to emphasize is that, all parents are only after the betterment of their children. We are ready to sacrifice our personal pleasure just to ensure our kids future. We are ready to face the hardships and trials that come our way  for their sake. After all the pleasure of being a  parent helps us forget our sufferings and burden , and the pains enhance us to hope of a better tomorrow for them.
Going back to Sheirly,  Though I don't agree with her,  I'm not in the position to condemn her. For me what is important, is we don't go beyond our limits as parents to our children. As the saying goes "different folks with different strokes". As long as we sincerely and in all honesty  ensure that,  everything we do for our kids is out of love and concern for their  future. Parents are no perfect, we too are just human, that is why In the course of doing our responsibilities as parents we also commit  mistakes. We do our best, and  because nothing is enough so we just surrender to God our limitations.
